after 9 days of being apart, lane came to muskogee to be with us during thanksgiving week. we had a family playdate some of our favorites!
trampoline knox.
we left on wednesday morning to head to rolla for a couple of days. chloe came with us. we always love to visit rolla! we were in the car a very long time that day! canon said, "look mom", as he pulled up his sleeve. "i'm tough!"
playing peek-a-boo. this baby rides so well in the car!
i LOVE these sippy cups!
of course, when we visit rolla, we log lots of outside play time. who cares if it's cold and dark?! we had a fire in the fire pit, made smores and did fireworks!
we stayed in a hotel while we were there. which would've been fine had ledger not had a cough that kept the room up! the first night, the boy woke up coughing for 2 hours straight. at 3am, lane went to walmart to get something for his cough. here we are watching netflix waiting for lane to get back! funny story...canon was the exception and slept through everything. when he woke up the next morning, the first thing out of his mouth was "that was a great night!" lane asked him, "at grammie's house?" "no, at the hotel!" we laughed.
we headed back to grammie and poppa's house on thanksgiving morning. the kids loved playing outside with whoever would play them! it was fun for them to get to spend so much time with ella and hudson, too!
doing what ledger does best!
so thankful for these two guys!
ledger kept calling thanksgiving "thank you" day.
uncle dylan took the next 3 pics of ella and canon. i LOVE them!
LOTS of coloring went on during the couple of days.
after a big, yummy thanksgiving lunch, we headed to the park to celebrate ledger's birthday.
sweet boy had been talking about a captain america birthday for months.
he's got to be the sweetest 3 year old out there. i can't get enough of him! he's SO funny these days, too! i LOVE how shy he looks here while everyone's singing to him.
the darn candle wouldn't stay lit because of the wind.
his expressions were priceless. he had a very superhero birthday!
we also celebrated poppa's 80th birthday while we were all together. LOTS of celebrating that day!
after the little party, it was then time to open christmas presents. do you think ledger was rotten by the end of the day or what?!
knox's first time to open a present. i can't believe it's almost time for his first birthday. i'm in MAJOR denial.

trying out his new toy!

after a big breakfast on friday morning and a couple of hours of playtime, we said our goodbyes and headed back to muskogee where i would spend the next day doing laundry and packing myself, the boys and clo for another week away from home. of course, we squeezed in a little time for the bedlam game. knox says, "go pokes!"
