our weekend so far...

well, it was a beautiful gray, rainy day yesterday...one of my favorites. it had been a awhile since we had one of those days where it rained all day long. of course, i was even more excited because there was the prospect of snow because of the rain! i'm guilty of praying for god to blow the blizzard a little more southeast. i can't believe just 2 hours away from me there is 2 feet of snow on the ground!
canon was pretty lethargic yesterday. we knew he didn't feel good when he let me rock him to sleep. it's sad, my baby doesn't liked to be rocked :( his cough seemed much worse and he still is congested. when he woke up from his nap at 5:30, he was burning up. i took his temp and couldn't figure out why he would still be running temp and sounding so cruddy after a week of antibiodics. my mom was here picking my sister up. she convinced me to call the on-call doctor. of course, my doctor wasn't on-call! the doctor who called me, in his broken english, scared me by saying, "a baby that young needs to be seen tonight. we need to make sure he doesn't have pneumonia." so after 30 seconds and $25 later, i panicked. lane was out shooting some pics of a friend, but when i called they had just finished. he said he would meet me there. i didn't mentioned that my mom sounded awful, and i thought she had bronchitis, or worse, pneumonia. i convinced her she needed to be seen. but i really wanted lane to be with us since i was a wreck.
the doctor said his ears still looked yucky, but were probably better than last week. she said his lungs were clear sounding. she did do a flu and rsv swab, but they were negative. she said he probably had a bug. she did reassure us that the antibiodic he's on will "kill any freaking bacteria in his little body." lane thought it interesting she said freaking! she also said we could do breathing treatments to help him breathe easier. i felt a little silly when we left, but i swear, you should have heard the tone of the on-call doctor!

by the time we left at 8:45, we were all starving. so knowing that it was past canon's bedtime and he didn't feel good, we decided to go grab some dinner at Abuelo's. it was a risk, but i was so hungry! he did really well thanks to the help of cheerios, juice, spoons, and wrappers. he didn't manage to spill anything either!

NOW FOR THE GRAND FINALE....
This is what we woke up to this morning!

poor little guy. Does that mean we won't be seeing you all tonight. I personally don't mind if you bring him.

Lisa is probably angry with you...she was hoping to play outside games for Jacob's party this afternoon!

Lucky in muskogee we did not get much snow. It would snow for a sec than it would stop.
