a house...

we are officially in the housing market game! we went to the bank this week, and did all that lovely paperwork. but good news, they find us worthy of lending their money to. what grown-ups we are! it's very exciting because some days i don't think i can stand another minute of my neighbors' noise levels. it's also an overwhelming feeling...the whole process, the painting and making it our own, the move, and the dreaded task of unpacking. this will be our 6th move in almost 3 years of marriage...yuck! the thing i want most out of a house is a backyard for canon...with a privacy fence. he loves to be outside! it would also be nice to have 4 bedrooms or 2 living spaces, but other than that, i'm open to anything clean and safe. we spent several hours yesterday driving around looking at houses. we went to one open house that was obviously out of our price range by $150,000, but, of course, i fell in love with it and it quickly became my standard for what i liked and didn't like (it had the most perfect backyard ever, too!). it was an exhausting few hours. there's a couple of houses that we will probably consider. it's such a huge commitment! pretty scary...
