we had delicious hamburgers, beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, and chips. mom made cute little individual cheesecakes with, of course, blue and red berries!
it was an amazing evening to be outside...at least in muskogee! i heard it rained in tulsa. we had so much fun playing outside. my mom has an awesome swingset that canon's finally old enough to enjoy.
chloe and i had so much fun jumping out of the swing. i hadn't done that in years! on my last jump, i hesitated, and some how hung on, but in the process tore my thumb up. it was a bloody mess.
ok...we discovered canon's just as much a pyro as his dad! he LOVED lighting to spinning blossoms and other "little" fireworks. just for the record, i was a nervous wreck while they did their thing!
canon couldn't make the poppers pop by throwing them so he stomped on them...
i'm so thankful for the break from the norm, and time spent with our families. i'm also thankful for the freedom we have in our country, but was reminded by a quote that we are citizens of another kingdom.when it started getting dark, we packed up and headed over to a park close to my mom's house. it sits on a hill and you can see all of muskogee. it was the perfect place to watch the big fireworks. the boys loved it, and so did we. it felt AMAZING out!
