busy spring break...

the past week has been busy, but fun! lane spent his spring break in chicago on a mission's trip. he says it was life-changing. i know lane claims lots of things as life-changing, such as snow cones and giordano's pizza, but he was so pumped about their trip. he had a great group of students and sponsors. he's already looking forward to the next one! i got to play single parent for a week. saturday was spent shopping and eating with canon's gram and aunt's. he did not have a nap the whole day, but is such a good little shopper. boy, i am not one to go hang out at the mall all day anymore. shopping wears me out. we had several of us to shop for, and for some reason did not split up. it lasted FOREVER! chloe and lauren spent the night with us that night. chloe also stayed sunday night. we got up on monday morning, packed all of canon's belongings, and headed for muskogee. tuesday, i went to wal-mart (you all know how much i hate that weekly trip). my good friend, meagan, came over for a little bit. she hadn't seen canon since he was about 5 weeks old. it was good to catch up. that afternoon, chloe and i prepared a meal for a friend of our's who had a sweet baby boy last week. i was so excited to see a newborn. it's amazing how fast i forgot what they are like. i have a busy body now! my favorite show, biggest loser came on that night. i live week to week to watch that. 18 and counting was also on. since we don't have cable, i look forward to watching it when i'm somewhere that has tlc. btw, the duggar family was in tulsa this past saturday at barnes and noble. i called my mom so excited, but i couldn't bring myself to go and mingle! canon played outside with chloe and her friend. they strolled him around and pretended to start a campfire! we spent wednesday with lane's mom and brother, dylan. it was SO nice to relax and hang out. i even managed to get outside and soak up some warm sunshine! lauren had to work monday to wednesday in stillwater, but came to muskogee after she got off that night. thursday, lauren, chloe, canon and i went to our favorite place in muskogee, harmony house. i have been craving it for so long. that's one thing i haven't found in tulsa yet is a good tea room. the highlight of our outing was lauren spilling her drink directly in her lap. she was wearing shorts and it was pretty cool outside...so funny! also, loved my apricot tea and chocolate crinkle cookies...i even shared one with the girls...to split! chloe had a haircut (trim, really) that she was so excited about because she was going to get side-bangs. i don't think i've ever seen her more excited! i got my bangs trimmed, too. They turned out really short! friday, canon and i went over to steve and dawn's to watch the osu game with them. lane's nana and papa were also there. dawn and i enjoyed comparing our brackets. we did very well the first two days! canon had a doctor's appointment at 3:30 that afternoon. i suspected an ear infection. he hadn't slept the past 3 nights which is his classic sign! sure enough, he had double ear infections. she put him on augmentin and told me it causes diarrhea. he woke up saturday with fever and so congested and coughing. he was so pitiful! the diarrhea kicked in that afternoon. he also threw up a couple of times because he would get choked while coughing. i did 7 loads of laundry that day between all of our stuff! lane got home late friday. it was so nice to have help! he got thrown right back into daddy duty! it was a nice week. i enjoy when the week feels different (some times!). now we get to look forward to disney! so excited. i made all our reservations for everyhting this past week. it made it feel real! hope all of you had a nice week...
