the one with another christmas...

after coming home for three days, we went back to muskogee to lane's parents house for a few days. we got there a day before everyone else so by the time they arrived, canon was more than ready to open presents. he kept trying to rip into everyone's stuff the whole day!

can you tell he had been told a time or two, "don't touch, just look."?

still waiting for everyone to get there...

still waiting...

trying to kill time...

"oh, thank goodness you're finally here, ella!"

he kept crouching down in front of her. they were fun to watch "play" together. so sweet...

we had a big, yummy sit down dinner wednesday night. i say "sit down dinner" because we literally graze all week! food is out all day, and i eat and eat and eat...all week.

after dinner, we opened gifts before the kids started having bedtime meltdowns. it's so fun to see everyone's different tastes and wants. santa was very good to us :) later that night, we played a super fun game called "the game of things." we laughed and laughed. of course, the theme of the whole week was staying up way too late, and sleeping way too late. i do not enjoy sleeping past 9 because then i feel like my day is shot.

of all the toys he got, he was just as content to sit in a box or play with tissue paper!

this was a surprise gift, but one of my favorite. i've never looked so forward to cleaning my floors

lane using the gifts his mom received...

a case for his new macbook pro...

oh boy!

smelling oomah's body sprays...

uncle tyler gave the boys steeler sleepers. he scored major points with lane.

the nice thing about new year's with the moss' is you do absolutely nothing (except, eat and watch tons of football!). my days ran together. i stayed in pj's for 90% of the time. i took naps. it was wonderful. the last 2 nights we were there my children decided not to sleep. i missed playing nerts each evening...boo. new year's eve is low-key. ledger was wide-awake and fussy. so i brought in the new year rocking my sweet baby (not that i'm complaining!). as soon as it was midnight, he passed out and we watched home videos. they were so funny! i could watch strangers home videos and enjoy it. lauren and i's favorite movies growing up were our baby tapes...not lying. and we made every babysitter watch them, too. i'm sure my mom loved that. anyways...

on saturday, the weather was actually pretty nice. by nice, i mean like 39 with no wind chill! canon was itching to get out of the house. this is canon enjoying a trampoline for the first time. he had so much fun playing on it. he didn't get the concept of jumping so the big boys "jumped" him.
it was so funny watching him try to get the ball. every time he would bend to get it, it would roll behind him! ella got in on the action, too.

he enjoyed playing in the bucket of hats and gloves...

we ended the week by watching a very disappointing loss for the cowboys in the cotton bowl. oh well, when i think back over the week, i smile!
