weekend thus far...

this has been the perfect last 48 hours! i love it. we have done pretty much nothing which is really nice :) my sister got here thursday afternoon right as the precipitation was starting. we caught up on all our dvr'd shows. when lane got home from work, he made us watch several hours of the x-games. he loves them more than the olympics.

i've done lots of cooking i feel like. although, one thing i didn't buy this week was sweets. man, we have all had the munchies sooo bad! we have had chicken pot pie, blueberry pancakes, hideaway pizza, stew, cinnamon rolls, and whatever else we could find. i have chili on the stove right now.

lauren spent the day yesterday trying to get on flight after flight to dallas. they all kept getting cancelled. she finally got one out this morning at 10:30. lane said the highways were pretty icy when he took her. we got about 6" here at our house and 1/2" of ice on our power lines that are attached to our house. they are sagging pretty good.

lane is at the church right now helping to clear the parking lot. he loves being outside in the "elements"! well, i guess i'll go back to doing not much of anything. (man, our satellite just went out as i'm writing this...bummer) have a nice day...
