halloween over a week...

1) pumpkin palooza
last week, the boys and i headed to boulevard's (lane's home church) pumpkin palooza! they had been looking forward to it for awhile. the day of, someone asked when it was time to go at least every 5 minutes...all.day.long!

they were very excited about seeing nora there! she made a very cute jesse and the boys are still talking about "jesse"! if only canon would've wanted to be woody, the whole gang would've been together.

while they had so many fun games aimed at preschool age...

my kids were more concerned with checking out their loot in between games!

they were excited to be at "oomah's church" as canon calls it. although they both work there, it's just oomah's while their house is only "pop's" in his book!

my mom came with us and was a much needed extra set of hands! we had stayed at her house for the 2 days leading up to the event while lane was out of town. the boys love their gram!!

2) pumpkin party
last thursday, canon had a fun day at school! they got to wear their costumes all day. they also got to skip their nap and watch "charlie brown and the great pumpkin"...this was canon's fav part of the day. at the end of the day, they had their party where they enjoyed lots of sugar!

ledger always enjoys canon's party days as he gets to enjoy the treats, too!

3) fall fun fest
on halloween night, our church hosted an event complete with trunk or treating. the boys were so looking forward to this! we hosted a trunk, but lane ended up maning it along with a couple of youth since i was following a couple of toddlers around!

despite all the fun games, hot dogs, popcorn, candy and music, my kids loved the balloons the most! after waiting in a LONG line, a super funny clown made canon a sword and ledger a plane. we then preceded to go get our picture made where canon popped part of his sword and became distraught! overall, the night was great!

fortunately, my kids haven't cared that much about the candy. they've been loving all the cheap toys. sadly, they have learned the hard lesson that cheap toys break really fast! i'm still finding little pieces and sneaking them into the trash! it's so fun to see how much more they get into things as they get older. looking forward to next year with our 3 boys :)

I understand about the "cheap toys" and the pieces you have to sneak in the trash. By the way, your boys' costumes are adorable. Though the boys wearing the costumes are adorable anyway. :)
