iphone dump...

i have a feeling this is going to be a regular post! i always have my iphone handy for pics and have been terrible about taking pics with the real camera. it's also easier to catch up by dumping them all into one post!

• canon had pajama day at school not long ago. he had picked out his dinosaur pj's to wear, but had an accident in them as we were about to leave. the past few weeks have been tough as he has had more accidents. i don't know if knox is causing the regression in him, but it's wearing me out the amount of laundry it's adding!

• after begging for a faux hawk the past few haircuts, i finally gave in and cut him one :( he LOVES it, but i miss his sweet, little comb over. he grew up instantly as soon as it was cut. i always get the boys' names mixed up, but i have legitimately confused he and canon a couple of times (especially from the back).

• this kid is getting doughy! in the span of 2 weeks (5wks to 7 wks), he has chunked up so much, he doesn't look newborn anymore.

• the boys have always loved books, but go through phases where that's all they want to do. we are in this phase now! i LOVE this precious time with them. how sweet is this pic??

• a couple of fridays ago, we ran errands together as a family. while i was doing shopping elsewhere in target, lane took the canon and ledger to what canon refers to as "the big boy aisle"...toys!

• my actual birhtday was low-key. i LOVE a lazy day with no plans. the boys brought me flowers the night before since wednesdays are lane's long day. i enjoyed getting phone calls, text and fb/twitter messages. i also enjoyed opening my birthday cards. i always save them for the end of my birthday! my sweet friends brought me pioneer woman cinnamon rolls and chocolate sheetcake cupcakes. i also still had half of a birthday cake in the fridge.

• canon kept singing "happy birthday" at random times throughout the day so i recorded him!

• the day after my birthday, i got a sweet surprise from lane. he sent me a text that initiated a clue hunt with sweet notes and gifts hidden around the house. it ended with a note saying we were going on a date that evening! finally got me some hibachi!! side story: i ruined my first complete meal this day! i had already stuck a roast and fixings in the crockpot before i knew we were going out. i just figured we would eat on it the next day. after only cooking on low for a couple of hours, i accidently unplugged the crockpot for 5 hours before i realized it. i was sad.

• the next night we went out to a new, make-your-own pizza place (since i ruined dinner and all!) and then next door for frozen yogurt. the boys were in heaven that night! it was a sweet time with my family :)

• i'm loving that smiles (and silly faces) are now a daily occurance! LOVE him so much!

• we attended nora and cordie's birthday party!! nora wanted a superhero party so they asked everyone to dress up. what a fun idea! the boys changed their minds a million times on what to be in the 2 weeks leading up to the party. it was fun. they love those girls so much! 

• knox got to meet his great-grandparents and great aunt! steve's family came down and we all headed to muskogee for the day. they had gotten the kids cardinals jerseys at christmas. several of them had pujols name on them who had just left the team so she exchanged them and brought them down. the kids loved wearing them! aunt lori also brought several new books that are so cute and have instantly become some of our favorites! 

• you know we LOVE us some superhero apparel around here! and look at those cute socks!

• after being a good boy while running errands, i let ledger pick out a cookie at the mall. no shocker here that he picked out one with lots of icing. of course, he only licked the icing off then declared he was done!

• this past weekend, lane attended ciy's believe conference with our jr. high students. the boys and i headed up for saturday morning's session. the boys LOVED the loud music and lights and i was thankful for lots of suckers during the teaching segment! i realized it'll only be a short 8 years before canon's attending. time, slow down!!

• we've been working with canon on spelling his name for a little bit, but yesterday at nap time, he was in a chatty mood so we laid there and practiced spelling his last name. he picked it up fast! he loves making videos. i'll forever treasure this sweet clip :)
