my latest project...

we've come to conclusion that we will more than likely not be having anymore biological children. this makes me sad as i LOVE pregnancy and the newborn/infant stage. however, after walking through adoption first hand with my family at 13 years old, my heart desired to grow my own family by the blessing that is adoption some day. how god brought chloe into our lives is one of things i'm most thankful for! it's no secret that kids are expensive and adoption is ridiculously expensive. each time we have a biological child, we are narrowing the opportunity to be able to afford to adopt. so that's the short version of how we've come to this decision!

all that said, i made the painful (a little dramatic!) decision to sell our baby clothes. we all know how much i hate preparing for/participating in garage sales. they're just so much darn work! we have a big consignment event here in town in a few weeks that i thought i would try out. before i prepped and sent all the newborn/0-3m, spring/summer clothes (and maternity) over there, i did a little sale to my facebook friends. there are lots of baby boys being born between april and june! canon was the only one that wore these items since he's my only warm weather baby. and a lot of the things had only been worn 2-3 times since he had so many clothes.

last friday, i literally spent the entire day washing, ironing and photographing each piece of maternity/baby clothing. it was exhausting! on top of this, i was helping lane install a new screen door. to give you an idea of how many things there were...the fb photo album had 107 items in it! remember that cute, organized nursery i showcased a couple of weeks ago? yeah, it's still a disaster until i can get the remaining items tagged and dropped off next week. yesterday, i shipped off a few packages and will drop the rest off this weekend. of course i was a sap going through and reminiscing, but at the same time, it felt good to rid the house of unnecessary things. i don't like things just sitting around for incases!

before i got rid of them, i made sure to take pics of them for my sake. each outfit i look at brings up sweet memories of my babies! i saved back a special item from each baby. in the fall, i'll do this again with the remaining fall/winter newborn through 6 month things. it made me feel better knowing that a lot of the items went to people we know! and that it's necessary so we can re-clothe 3 growing boys!

I did all of that after my punkin was born. We are in that stage where we are praying for another but wondering if it is through the process of adoption. We will see.
