a fun friday...

friday was originally the day we were going to start 3-days of intense potty training, but after deciding we needed to go to our high school's alumni football game that night, we pushed it to saturday. so instead, we got up and went to the zoo!! it was seriously the most perfect day for it (like high 70's while we there), and one of my dream's come true. cheesy, i know, but since canon was born, i have dreamed about the day i would get to take him...and that he would care about it! he loved it. i'm considering getting a membership we both loved it so much. everytime we were done seeing an animal, he'd say more. sorry about the picture overload :)
chimps...
peek-a-boo with the owls. he loved them. a bunch of hedwig's :)
looking at turtles...

the lizard's lunch time...
fish faces...
the friendly raccoon...
more like the eagle's prey...
more turtles. that's something the tulsa zoo is not lacking in...

being forced to pet the goat (while screaming)...
somewhat willing to pet the goat. love his face...
talking to a billy goat. he thought the goat was funny (through the fence, of course)...
not to fond of statues or mannequins (the eskimoes terrified him)...
a friendly catfish that came from nowhere and scared my baby (and me!)...
penguins. all of my boys' favorites...

my favorites! of course, the one pic i'm in, canon refuses to take his finger out of his nose...
giraffe. i can't even find him in the pic now...
after 2.5 hours, the boys' started to meltdown, but i was convinced they would be fine once we got on the train and were moving. lane didn't think it was worth the risk, but we had already bought tickets so we ended up riding it. the boys liked it. of course, i think they were more interested in the string cheese they were eating!

after a quick nap, we packed up and headed to muskogee. when we were in highschool, boulevard didn't have a football team. last night, though, they invited all alumni back to be acknowledged on field at halftime. it was good to see familiar faces. we feel so blessed to be apart of such a wonderful school. i didn't get many pics, but canon loved being there. outside and football are two of his favorite things. he also had his grandparents there which is also nice :) he is mr. independent and loved running around. it felt amazing and i was so excited to get to wear long sleeves. sooo ready for fall!
watching aunt clo cheer. his uncle pickle was also flipping around out there somewhere...
canon loves kids and does not know personal space. poor jake...

i love my sweet little family. it makes me happy to do things together :)

Those are my favorite shirts of them. I want that picture of them standing next to each other with their backs toward the camera really bad!
