sneak peek...

i have been wanting to take family pictures FOREVER. we've never had any done in the 4.5 years we've been a family unit. so friday, we loaded up and headed to joplin for our friend and lane's photography partner, allyson, to take a few (more like 300+). she's amazing!! i was dying for lane to work up a few for me, and these are what he came up with...enjoy :)

side story: when we got into joplin that afternoon, we had to drop off something at ozark for a friend. right before turning in, we heard a weird noise, but didn't hear it again until we were driving off. it was a major flat. no idea when it happened or how, but so thankful it didn't happen on the turnpike. our friend, sarah, let us borrow her car so we could go take our pics. i was a bit frazzled because we had already had to reschedule the shoot. nothing's simple!

it was after 7...on a friday night... when we finished so wal-mart was already closed. we rushed back to the school so lane could put the spare on while we were calling around to see if someone was opened. sears said they were open until 8. lane changed the tire in a mere 14 minutes. we pulled in around 7:35. we waited in line forever only for the guy to say he couldn't fix it because he didn't have a technician on duty. geez...he could've told us that on the phone. he said there was a firestone opened until 8 on the other side of the mall. the kids and i went to the food court to eat supper while lane rushed over with only 10 minutes to spare. thank goodness they were able to fix it because i didn't have any overnight stuff packed! it was a long day, but so worth it to have precious memories preserved of my sweet family :)
