tasty tuesday...

it's time for another exciting installment of tasty tuesday...i bet you've been waiting all week for this! after thinking about how we can all link up to help each other, i think i've decided how i'm going to work this. next sunday or monday, i'm going to list a schedule of different food categories for the next few weeks. on tuesday, i'll post my recipe and also have a mr. linky at the bottom. if you want to participate, just link your blog post to mine. if you don't have a blog but still want to participate, leave your recipe in the comment section on my post. easy-peasy?? it'll prob take a few weeks to work out the kinks, but i'm so excited!! this is my favorite time of year to cook. love fall/winter dishes, thanksgiving food, holiday sweets, party food, etc.

this chili recipe has been an almost weekly staple during the cold months for as far back as i can remember. it seems like i start making it earlier and earlier each fall. our first pot of chili this year was opening day of college football! i always have these ingredients on hand, and it's super easy to make. we seriously have this every saturday we are home! oh, and if it's just us eating, i always half the recipe!

2# ground turkey or hamburger
2 cans of pinto beans, drained
2 cans of tomato soup
2 cans of hunt's seasoned diced tomatoes for chili (found at walmart or food pyramid here...this makes a real difference)
1 pkg williams orginal chili seasoning
2T of sugar
1 can of water

brown meat and drain grease. add all ingredients in large pot, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes. the longer the better. smother in cheese and sour cream, and oh my.... :) we like to eat cornbread with ours. enjoy.
