a sweet day...

most of the time our days look pretty similar, but sometimes, those ordinary days just seem extra sweet and i don't want to ever forget them. i'm so aware of how fast time is going. i mean, in a few months, i'll have a 4 year old! when and how did that happen?! yesterday was one of those days...

canon had speech first thing and it was finally raining during the day!! after having new rain gear for a month and a half, he finally got to wear his boots AND coat AND use his umbrella! he was so proud.

while lane took canon to speech, i got myself and the other boys ready for an appointment with a pediatric surgeon for ollie's herniated belly button. at 2 weeks, it was obvious he had one, but it has continued to grow and creeps out people when they see it! last week, i took him just to get it checked out and our pediatrician gave us a referral to the surgeon.

thankfully, since i had all 3 boys with me, we were in and out in no time. people ask me if 3 is harder than 2 all the time...yes, only because it's another person to care for, but really, it's not much different than 2. they are well-behaved when we go out, thankfully. it's just more work getting everyone in and out of the van. and of course, right now, all of our outings are scheduled around knox's feedings.

anyways, the doctor was a nice man and said it would definitely have to be repaired, but it's not an emergency. he wants him to be 20 lbs or 6 months before the surgery just for anesthesia safety. ledger, as well as lane and his brothers, had herniated belly buttons, but they fixed themselves. the doctor seems to think knox's is too big to heal itself. we will see.

the boys asked for a picnic lunch while we watched our new movie. i always take their clothes off when they eat if we have to go back out that day. less laundry is my motto!

this sweet boy has been waking up so happy from his naps. i got a little crazy with the camera, but the pics are so sweet to me. each smile is so different! i'm such a mom :)

when the boys got up from their nap, we worked on our craft that we didn't have a chance to do on valentines. ledger got a little crazy with the bumblebees! daddy loved his sweet valentines.

the rest of our day consisted of church, calazones and catching up on the dvr! so thankful for my little family!
