arkansas:part 2...

mimi was gracious to have our crew from monday night-friday morning. bless her heart, she had full-body hives the whole time we were there. i could totally relate and felt awful for her. she was a trooper though and we had such a good visit!

tuesday morning, my aunt sue invited us to swim at her neighborhood pool. i grew up going with them and it was neat to now have my little guys with me! plus, it had a major remodel last year and was perfect for their age.

that evening, mimi had to go help with her church's vbs for 1.5 hours so i started supper and made knox his first batch of baby food. he wasn't too crazy about them!

it was so hot while we there, that we had to go outside in the morning or wait until 7:30 in the evening. the boys enjoyed playing in the front yard after dinner each night. they liked throwing their balls into the branches of grandad's tree. canon was only a few months old when we went with mimi to pick out this memory tree. it's grown so much!

wednesday morning, we went out to a longtime friend of mimi's to fish and piddle around her property. the boys were in heaven! this was my view while i nursed knox from a swing. so peaceful!

we only fished for about 15 minutes. during that time, we caught 2 fish. the boys lost interest pretty fast and i was a nervous wreck making sure they didn't fall into the pond! they wouldn't go near the fish for a picture. this is the same place i caught my only fish. chloe caught the one in the picture. she said it was her first live fish to catch. she claims that her first fish she caught years ago was dead!

mrs. betty jo let us take rides on her mule. chloe drove us up and down the little road. she did pretty good for her first driving experience! only a couple more years before i make her drive me everywhere. i hate driving!

throwing rocks. just living the dream.

we also got to pick a few mini-pears. ledger enjoyed doing this! canon found more rocks to throw.

so beautiful. sometimes i think i'd really like the country life, but i have a feeling that the first time i saw a snake, that'd change! after a nice lunch, we said our good-byes and headed back to the city. we all napped good that afternoon!

the boys loved mimi's sunroom and spent most of their time out there playing.

that evening, all of our family who was in town came over for dinner. it was wonderful seeing everyone. aunt sue and the boys. she spoiled us and assisted us on all our outings! here, the boys are enjoying their krispy kreme donut holes she brought them.

thursday, we headed out for a morning of shopping. i'm not a shopper, especially in the heat, but i was looking for a couple of things so we braved an outing. after lunch at my favorite, mcalister's, we headed home where these sweet loves napped hard!

this machine spoiled me rotten. i think i want one for christmas! i love how fast and easy it is. which was kind of a bad thing since i helped myself to a late afternoon cup each day which in turn kept me up late!

these boys' enjoyed bubble baths in the big tub each night! also, my big boys and i put a movie in the lap time each night about 9:00. i loved that sweet time with them.

this sweet baby started holding his own bedtime bottle while we were there.

friday morning, we packed up super early to get a head start on the heat. they were calling for 107 that day. we stopped in conway to have breakfast with my cousin, morgan. it was great seeing and catching up with her. of course, the time was too short!

thank you, sweet family, for making our time so wonderful! i always look forward to visiting. it takes me back to my childhood. i love each of you dearly!
