we played the whole time! we logged so many hours of playing in the sunshine. we went to the park every day. it was wonderful. the weather was gorgeous!
tuesday we spent about 4 hours total playing out in my mom's front yard. she lives on a great street with a really long driveway. the boys rode their bikes, hunted for butterflies (ledger with a sword and shield), played trains with the neighbor and threw pocks in the ditch with pops and oomah (who stopped by to say hi on their way back form florida)! we had a free pizza for dinner. it was a good day.
"i am FAST!", ledger said.
on wednesday morning, we met eden and the girls at the park for a few hours. this is my favorite park!
i packed the boys' lunches and my mom came by during her lunch break for a picnic!
thursday morning we met maggie and hannah at the park. my mom came by before we were leaving and the boys showed off all of their tricks! i love this pic of knox and ledger double-swinging. i have one from a couple of years ago of canon and ledger.
after naps that afternoon, we headed to oomah and pop's house to play. they had fun with bubbles FOREVER. i'm mad i didn't get any pics of the bubble action. we had yummy burgers for dinner! when we got back to my mom's house, canon worked this puzzle all by himself. he was so proud. i love how ledger is posing. he hears "say cheese" and turns it on!
friday morning, we kept cordie and nora while their parents went to their OB appointment. we played outside until a random thunderstorm sent us inside. they all then played with the mcdonald's contently for a good hour. good thing my mom kept all of our old toys! my boys love playing with all of the "new" things.
friday night, it felt amazing out and there was still an hour of daylight so we headed to the park...again!

saturday morning was spent packing our things up and putting my mom's house back together. the boys did a great job at making themselves at home :) after we were all ready and packed, we headed to the park for a little bit before it was time to leave for the airport. canon had been scared to death to try this (see below) all week. finally, with the help and encouragement of gram, he conquered his fear all by himself. he did great and was beaming. it's always so funny to see how/when their personalities come out. ledger is fearless on the playground. canon is very timid to try things, but always enjoys the different things after time (just like his momma).

we were all very excited to finally be going to pick up daddy! they even stayed awake on the 45-minute car ride mid-afternoon. pretty sure the whole airport heard them when they spotted lane.
it was such a nice, peaceful, relaxing, yummy (i ate all my favorite things!) week. it was hard to come back to the reality of selling the house and saying good-bye to this chapter. i'm pretty sappy right now! i'll end before i blab on and on about it. :)
